Finally painting my family room |
Lead | |
|
After buying quarts of five different colors of paint and achieving a desert storm look on my walls (dh and ds loved it, but I wasn't liking it) I have decided on a paint color for my walls in the family room. Yes, I've gone with EXACTLY the same color I had in the other house. Why didn't I just go with that in the first place?

Good luck! I should be painting right now, but I'm not.

Well, I'm sure I'd go much faster if I'd stay off of the computer.

Well, I've tried with Miki and Gen, so I'll try with you. Do you want to come and paint mine when you're done with yours?

I have an idea. Instead of meeting in Vegas, we need to have a progressive painting party. We'll map out everyone's houses and travel to each house, doing all of the painting that that person needs. Then move on to the next.
Or, we could go to Vegas and try to win enough money to hire someone to do our painting for us. |

Good luck to you, Kathy. Is it wrong that I laughed when I read that you went back to your initial color? |

Heh, no. The guys are still disappointed over losing the desert storm look, though.

LOL! Tell them to put their cammo away and to get their army boots off of the coffee table.

Yay! I'll be expecting you soon then!
so I'll probably have to buy more paint for a foot of wall space. Isn't that the way that it always goes with painting? Well, look at it this way, at least you'll have some extra paint to do touch ups. Or in case a science experiment goes wrong or something and you have to repaint a wall. |

I know some places are now offering sample size bottles, ask about getting that. They usually cover a 2ft square.

The family room is finally done! I had to buy another gallon of paint because I ended up running out with one complete coat left on the final wall, but I have extra for touch ups now. So now I have a sage color in my kitchen and "dining room" and a goldish tan color in my family room. These rooms all run together and the colors seem to work--except at night the tan changes color! I think it will grow on me but it was a surprise. I don't remember it doing that in the last house. |

LOL! Oh no! You have possessed paint.
When we painted my sister's house, we did two rooms in the same color. You wouldn't believe how different they looked, until we changed the light bulbs to natural lights. Weird. YAY for being done!! |
